Megapixel Super HAD™ CCD
It’s another step up in megapixel performance, giving each photo greater
detail when you make large prints and view pictures on big-screen TVs --
with Sony’s advanced Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design that
allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing
noise.

Super
SteadyShot® Optical Image Stabilization
To compensate for shaky hands, Sony’s Super SteadyShot® system detects
camera movement and sends correcting signals to a stabilization lens to
reduce image blur -- a real advantage when shooting in low light with such a
small camera.
|
Sharp, Clear Photos Without Flash
The DSC-T30 provides High Sensitivity Mode (ISO 1000) to let you shoot in
low light without flash to preserve the mood or capture great shots in
locations where flash is not permitted. Sony’s Clear RAW™ Noise Reduction
system also counter the picture noise traditionally associated with high ISO
imaging -- and with Sony’s Super SteadyShot® system to compensate for camera
shake, you’ll be able to get great results with a wide range of subjects and
lighting conditions.

Carl
Zeiss® 3X Optical/2X Precision Digital Zoom
An ingenious lens design provides 3X Optical Zoom capability in amazingly
compact camera dimensions -- and even at full zoom the lens doesn’t project
beyond the camera body, preserving the ultra-slim styling of the DSC-T30.
|
Capture Images In-Camera
With 58 MB Internal Memory, the DSC-T30 allows you to shoot photos without a
flash memory card -- so you can always get your shot even if you forgot your
card. From internal memory, you can easily transfer your images to Memory
Stick Duo™ or Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media, upload to your computer or make
prints on your digital printer.
|
3.0"
Clear Photo LCD Plus™ Screen2
With its Clear Photo LCD Plus™ design, the large 3.0" screen2
of the DSC-T30 gives you a big, bright image that makes it easy to set up
shots, share results and read menus even in bright sunlight.
|
Versatile Color Modes
The DSC-T30 gives you greater creative freedom to adjust color mode for the
creative results you want -- with new Natural setting for subtle colors and
Vivid setting for more intense colors, in addition to Standard, Monochrome
and Sepia color settings.
|
High-Stamina InfoLithium® Rechargeable Battery
A supplied NP-FR1 InfoLithium® rechargeable battery lets you shoot up to 420
pictures on a full charge2,
recharges quickly and easily, and shows you about how much shooting time
remains.
|
14X
Smart Zoom™ Feature
Sony's Smart Zoom feature lets you magnify your subject beyond the 3x
optical zoom - to 3.6x (5MP), 4.5x (3MP), even 14x (VGA). By intelligently
cropping into the central portion of the scene, it avoids the image
distortion of other digital zooms.
|
Real
Imaging Processor™ LSI
To improve camera response and extend battery life, Sony’s Real Imaging
Processor™ LSI (Large Scale Integrated) circuit decreases shutter lag,
improves picture quality and clarity, and increases battery stamina.

NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL
CARD |
| The number of pictures you can take
varies depending on your camera model and complexity of the scene being
photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card can hold, divide
the capacity of your card by the average file size of your images. For
example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an average
file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately 213
pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you
shoot in a higher resolution mode. |

will vary and depends on the camera model and compatibility of the
scene being photographed.

|
MEGAPIXELS AND PHOTO PRINT SIZE |
The
photo print quality of your images depends on the camera's "megapixel
rating." The higher number of pixels your camera has, the higher the
resolution (or sharpness) of your images---and the larger your prints
can be without quality loss.
